The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
