Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 And cups set at hand. 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26
