Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 In the high empyrean, 10 hearing there no babble; 11 therein a running fountain, 12 raised couches, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
