Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 in a sublime garden, 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 raised couches, 13 and prepared goblets, 14 Cushions arranged, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth how it has been spread out? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
