The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And the day resplendent 2 And Him Who hath created male and female, 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 And for him who hoarded wealth and remained carefree, 8 and have no faith in receiving any reward (from God). 9 We shall pave his way to hardship, 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And indeed the Hereafter and this world both belong to Us. 13 I therefore warn you of the fire that is ablaze. 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
