Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the midmorning, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
