Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
