Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
