The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the morning hours 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
