The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
