The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
