The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 or orders piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
