Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake 1 And the earth discharges its burdens 2 and Man says., 'What ails her?' 3 On that Day will she declare her tidings: 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! 7 and whoever does an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
