The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
