The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
