Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
