The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the snorting courses, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
