Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
