Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Abundance diverts you, 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
