Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You will be shown hell 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
