The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
