The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 covered down upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
