The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful 1

All praise unto Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. 2 The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 3 Owner of the Day of Recompense. 4 Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 5 Guide us the straight way. 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
