۞ He it is who created you from a single soul, and He created therefrom his spouse that he might find repose in her. Then when he covereth her she beareth a light burthen and fareth about therewith; then when she groweth heavy the twain call upon Allah their Lord: if Thou vouchsafest us a goodly child, we shall surely be of the thankful. 189 But when He gave them a Salih (good in every aspect) child, they ascribed partners to Him (Allah) in that which He has given to them. High be Allah, Exalted above all that they ascribe as partners to Him. (Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 9, Page 148). 190 Will they associate that which cannot create a thing while they are created? 191 and that have no power to help them, neither they help themselves? 192 It makes no difference whether you call on them or remain silent. If you call them to the right path, they will not follow you. 193 Surely those whom you call on besides Allah are in a state of subjugation like yourselves; therefore call on them, then let them answer you if you are truthful. 194 Do they have feet to walk with? Or have they hands to hold with? Or have they eyes to see with? Or have they ears to hear with? Say, “Call upon your ascribed partners and conspire against me, and do not give me respite.” 195 Lo! my Protecting Friend is Allah Who revealeth the Scripture. He befriendeth the righteous. 196 And those you call upon besides Him are unable to help you, nor can they help themselves." 197 And if you call them to guidance they do not listen; and you (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) observe them looking towards you, whereas they do not perceive anything. 198 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) adopt forgiveness, and enjoin virtue, and turn away from the ignorant. 199 And O listener! If the devil provokes you, seek the refuge of Allah; indeed He is All Hearing, All Knowing. 200 Verily those who fear God when an instigation from the Satan toucheth them, they call to mind, and lo! they are enlightened. 201 Even though their (devilish) brothers would like them to continue in error, and would not desist. 202 And when thou bringest them not a sign, they say, 'Why hast thou not chosen one?' Say: 'I follow only what is revealed to me from my Lord; this is clear testimony from your Lord, guidance, and mercy for a people of believers.' 203 So when the Qur'an is recited, listen carefully to it, and keep silent so that you may, be shown mercy.' 204 And remember your Lord within yourself humbly and fearing and in a voice not loud in the morning and the evening and be not of the heedless ones. 205 [even] the ones [angels] who live in the presence of your Lord are not too proud to worship Him: they glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him. ۩ 206
God the Almighty always says the truth.
