"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 'Enter you them, in peace and security!' 46 We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face. 47 No weariness shall ever touch them in this [state of bliss,] and never shall they have to forgo it. 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 At the same time, My chastisement is highly painful. 50 Tell them about Abraham's guests: 51 When the angels came to him and said, “Peace"; he said, “We feel afraid of you.” 52 They (the angels) said: "Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a boy (son) possessing much knowledge and wisdom." 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" 55 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" 56 Then he asked, "What then is your business, O messengers?" 57 They (the angels) said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners). 58 Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all 59 “Except his wife – we have decided that she is of those who will stay behind.” 60
