But the cautious shall live amongst gardens and fountains: 45 Enter therein in peace, secure. 46 We shall cleanse their hearts of all traces of ill-will; they will be like brethren seated on couches facing one another. 47 They will not be affected by any weariness there, and they will never be made to leave." 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 And that indeed the punishment of Mine is a painful punishment. 50 Tell them of Abraham's guests. 51 When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you." 52 They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom. 53 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?" 54 They replied: 'In truth we have given you glad tidings, do not be one of those who despair' 55 He said: And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord but the erring ones? 56 He asked: 'Messengers, what is your errand' 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 All except the household of Lut; surely we are going to deliver all of them. 59 excepting only his wife, [of whom God says,] 'We have ordained [that,] behold, she should be among those who stay behind!' 60
