And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
