And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
