Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
