It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and with it trees grow on which you pasture your cattle. 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 And He hath subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Verily therein are signs for a people who understand. 12 And whatsoever He has created for you on this earth of varying colours [and qualities from vegetation and fruits, etc. (botanical life) and from animal (zoological life)]. Verily! In this is a sign for people who remember. 13 It is He who has subjected the sea to you, so that you eat of its soft flesh and bring up from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing their course through it in order that you seek His bounty and give thanks. 14 He set firm mountains upon the earth lest it should shake with you; and rivers, and roads, in order that you are guided. 15 and He has set other landmarks in the earth. And by the stars too do people find their way. 16 Is then the One Who creates like the one who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 For, were you to count the favours of Allah, you will not be able to count them. Surely Allah is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you reveal. 19 And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] are created. 20 They are, [in fact], dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected. 21
