It is He who sends down water from heaven, which provides drink for you and brings forth trees on which your herds feed. 10 (With this water) He causes corn, olives, palm-trees, vines, and all kinds of fruits to grow. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of understanding. 11 He has made the night and the day and the sun and the moon subservient to you; and all the stars are subservient to His command. Surely in this there are signs for men of understanding. 12 And that which He has multiplied for you in the earth of diverse hues. Surely in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided, 15 And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way. 16 Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you do openly. 19 Those you call on besides God cannot create anything. They are themselves created. 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
