You shall not kill your offspring for fear of want. It is We who provide for them, and for you. Indeed, killing them is a great sin. 31 And do not approach adultery – it is indeed a shameful deed; and a very evil way. 32 And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped. 33 And do not approach the property of an orphan, except in the way that is best, until he reaches maturity. And fulfill [every] commitment. Indeed, the commitment is ever [that about which one will be] questioned. 34 And fill up the measure when you measure, and weigh with the straight balance; that is better and fairer in the issue. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; the ears, eyes, and hearts will all be held responsible for their deeds. 36 And do not go about in the land exultingly, for you cannot cut through the earth nor reach the mountains in height. 37 All these are evil and odious to your Lord. 38 (Muhammad), these are words of wisdom which your Lord has revealed to you. Do not consider anything equal to God lest you be thrown into hell, despised, and driven away from God's mercy. 39 What! Has your Lord favored you with sons and taken to Himself females from among the angels? Indeed, you utter a monstrous thing! 40
