T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
