T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
