AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 And We have guarded it from every outcast devil, 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein. 19 and there appointed for you is a livelihood, and for those you do not provide. 20 And there is not a thing, but with Us are the stores thereof. And We send it not down except in a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof. 22 And verily We! it is We who give life and death, and We shall be the survivors. 23 We know those who lived before you and those who will come after you. 24 Your Lord will resurrect them all; He is All-wise and All-knowing. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
