He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 To strengthen me 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and may remember You much. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
