'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And ease for me my task 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
