Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
