The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')

۞ The time of reckoning has drawn near for mankind, yet they are heedless and turn away. 1 There comes not to them a new reminder from their Lord but they hear it while they sport, 2 With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): "Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?" 3 Say: "My Sustainer knows whatever is spoken in heaven and on earth; and He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing." 4 Some say, "These are his confused dreams." Others say, "He has invented it himself," and yet others say, "He is a poet. Let him bring us a sign as previous messengers did." 5 Not a city before them which We destroyed believed; will they then believe? 6 And We sent not before you, [O Muhammad], except men to whom We revealed [the message], so ask the people of the message if you do not know. 7 And We made them not bodies not eating food; nor were they to be abiders. 8 Our promise to them came true and We saved them and those whom We wanted, but destroyed the unjust people. 9 We have indeed sent down towards you a Book, in which is your repute; so do you not have sense? 10
