The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 these are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
