1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 But then they divided up their order into different creeds, each section rejoicing in what it had come to have. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 until We opened the gate of greater torment (death) and they suddenly found themselves in despair. 77
