O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
