It is He who gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, but only few of you give thanks. 78 And it is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered. 79 It is He who gives life, and makes to die, and to Him belongs the alternation of night and day; what, will you not understand? 80 Aye! they say the like of that which said the ancients. 81 They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again? 82 "Verily, this we have been promised, we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!" 83 Say, "To whom do the earth and all therein belong? Tell me, if you have any knowledge?" 84 They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?" 85 Say thou: who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the mighty throne? 86 They will surely say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not, then, fear (Allah)?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say, 'God's.' Say: 'How then are you bewitched? 89 We have brought before them the Truth, and there is no doubt that they are lying. 90 Never did Allah take to Himself a son, and never was there with him any (other) god-- in that case would each god have certainly taken away what he created, and some of them would certainly have overpowered others; glory be to Allah above what they describe! 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
