Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans; 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say, "You only stayed for a little while, if only you knew. 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
