Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
