Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 (But the unbelievers will persist) until when death comes to one of them he will say: "O Lord, send me back again 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: our Lord! our wretchedness overcame us, and we have been a people erring. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
