۞ And We inspired Musa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 "But we are host all assembled, amply forewarned." 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
