۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 And treasures and a station noble. 58 and We made the Children of Israel inheritors of these bounties. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And yet, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 68
