The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
