The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?" 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
